INTRODUCTION

What my work mostly consists in is representing verses from the Bible
in a personal way. My paintings (acrylics on canvas) are both symbolic and
figurative. I find my source in the Word of God and in praying. That is where
I draw inspiration from. If I did not feel this urge for spiritual inner
life, I would not be able to produce these paintings. Thus a Biblical verse
touches me, fills me and works on me. The words are in harmony with what my
life is made of at the moment. Then I feel the urge to express it through
shapes and colours that I can see materializing within me gradually. It may
happen that I cannot set about drawing immediately. However, I will keep my
ideas inside until I have completed my painting. |
